Default How much time do you spend promoting your blog?

There are now several social network and social bookmarking sites, blogging communities and other traffic building link sites, but they all take up a lot of time. If you keep a blog, and post on it regularly, you also need to spend time promoting it.

I have read that some people earn enought to make a living out of blogging but I think they must spend much of their work time in networking and promotion.

I would say that my biggest revenue comes from CPA marketing but my most steady income is from Google Adsense...I do make a living off of this and I dont have a regular 9-5 job...but I am also in school and only 20 years old.

Your best bet is to write as much unique content as much as possible and as frequently as possible and I think you will start to see your site improving.

I would say I spend a good 6 hours on blogging alone per day. But thats also because I own 17 different current blogs.

The first step is unique content. Once you have that then its just a matter of submitting to directories, building backlinks through other sites and submitting to search engines...SEO is the first/second steps to you being successful but the most important is to have unique content.

See, I just wrote a post recently title "Everyone can be a great blogger but not a great marketer" in which all the good marketers make a decent amount of money. When it comes down to it, a majority of your time should be spent promoting your blog... of course, don't just write garbage posts, but spend some time writing quality ones, even if it means NOT posting everyday.
